Obituary of Thomas Conlon

Passed August 24, 2012 at age 81 after a long struggle to recover from an accident. Loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Webb Conlon, son, Tim, daughters, Jamie (Brent) Anderson and Jill (Bolgen) Vargas, grandchildren, Tyler, Will, Lizzie Anderson, Cori and Jenna Conlon, brother, F. Patrick (Sylvia) Conlon and sister, Kay Conlon as well as several nieces and nephews, many cherished friends and students. Tom was a life-long educator, teaching grade school followed by Professor of Education, Director and Field Coordinator for Student Teaching at SUNY Geneseo. His family will be receiving friends Tuesday, August 28th, 4-8pm at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 29th, 10 AM, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial, Temple Hill Cemetery, Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to a charity of one's choice. The family sends heartfelt appreciation to the many friends for their love and support and to the devoted caregivers at Strong Memorial Hospital ICU and the Jewish Home.
