I remember Tom as an extremely supportive and encouraging supervisor during my student teaching. He was so kind and so student centered. He really touched so many lives in such a positive way. Without his encouragement I may not have continued on my journey in education. Now I have been teaching for 28 years. Tom's faith and encouragement were at the forefront of my mind as a traveled this path. I am sorry for your loss. He will always be remembered!

Dear Mrs. Conlon,
I was so fortunate to have Mr. Conlon for my fifth grade teacher ....and what a teacher he was! Inspiring, fun, good-hearted and so generous with his students. He had high expectations for all of us and helped us each rise to what he expected. We were each blessed to have known him ...my heart goes out in sorrow to you and your family.

I remember Uncle Tom mostly at the cottage. He took me out on the little sailboat. The smell of his pipe and coffee brewing is and always will be a fond memory. He was a kind and gentle man and he will be missed!

My condolences to the Conlon family....I have so many memories of winters skiing with everyone and growing up with all of them. "Mr. Conlon" as I called him and he told me I was too old to call him that...call me Tom as he said...was always so positive. He will surely be missed by many.

Jill and Jamie - So sorry to hear about your father. My sister Kelley had him for fifth grade and really liked him. I wasn't lucky enough to be assigned to him but I remember him well from those days - such a nice person.

My heart was saddened to hear about your loss. Tom was my advisor when I did my student teaching at the campus school in Geneseo. (Fall, 61) I learned of your loss from my friend Ann Bishop, who was in "our" 3rd grade class, we discovered over lunch one day. What a superb educator and person! His expertise and love for teaching helped me to appreciate children and enjoy my own classroom for the next 34 years! I know you will all miss this vibrant man.
My life is richer because I knew, worked, and learned how to be an educator from your Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother.
My most sincere sympathy,
Elaine Hallett

Mr Conlin was the teacher everyone wanted to have. His children were also some of the most respected by their fellow students. While I have not seen either Mr Conlin or his family in decades, I can feel the loss in my heart. May he rest in eternal peace.

My condolences to the Conlon family. I will always remember Mr. Conlon as a kind man and an exemplary teacher. He had a positive impact on countless students. I remember being so disappointed that I wasn't assigned to his class when I was a student at Holcomb.
