Remembering all the good times with Ginny at Warsaw rehab, oh how her many laughs and jokes made rehab actually enjoyable. Also all the cookies we furnished and exchanged. Ginny was a very witty enjoyable person who was a dear friend and I will miss her a great deal. Sincere condolences to her family! May all the fond memories you have of Ginny get you all through this difficult time.

Thoughts and prayers to the Barry and Biggie family in the lost of Mrs. Barry. I remember her from when Marsha and I were in high school. A very special lady. I know she will be missed by everyone.

Even after we'd reached a certain age - "too old" - for the Hess trucks, I still felt a little bummed when i wouldn't get the newest model. It always makes me smile when i come across one, especially if Rebecca is playing with it. To many, they're just toys. But to me and my brothers, you knew there was Grandma's pure thought behind them to make sure we had as great a holiday possible. Whether it was a birthday card (never forgotten) or just a chat on Sunday morning, she always wanted to know how we were and if we were happy. Above all else, I'll remember that kindness forever and hope to be a fraction as good a person she was. I love you and miss you.

Despite the actual miles between us, Grandma never felt far away because of the steady stream of thoughtful cards, pictures, notes, and emails she sent. It was never long before something showed up in the mail. I'll always remember the holidays and looking forward to that year's new Hess trucks, her cranberry sauce, and chex mix - a personal favorite of mine.
She was a very special person who always made me feel loved. I will miss her. Love, Travis.

Ginny you are too soon gone. I would offer you the following: God made a wonderful Mother, a Mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine. And he moulded her heart of pure gold; In her eyes he placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks fair roses you see; God made a wonderful Mother, and he gave that dear Mother to me. A poem by Patrick O'Reilly. I wish I had written it, but know he wrote it for you. May all your breaths be easy and peace be upon you.

Some of my fondest memories of my Grandmother are when she would come visit us after a move or during the holidays. Her laugh and sense of humor would always make me smile. I always enjoyed reading her letters and emails over the years. She always wrote the nicest things and had the most beautiful handwriting you'd ever seen. She was truly a special lady and I will miss her very much. Her spirit now soars high amongst the clouds with the angels. I love you Grandma...you'll live forever in our thoughts and hearts.

My son, Ryan, made a comment on Facebook yesterday about life not being fair. When I called to check on him I found out that his friend, Virginia, had died. He was so choked up that he made me cry. Ryan had been telling me about Virginia for quite some time. He enjoyed talking to her, he admired her, he worried about her, and he always wanted the best for her. After a conversation they had about dog breeds, he bought her a book on dogs for her birthday. He called her on holidays to chat, and really to check up on her. He told me that she was fiercely independent, but he worried about her being alone. After her recent hospitalization and during a visit with her he worried that the physical therapy was too hard for her to handle. When he last saw her they talked about her coming home. She wanted to be home. Ryan is 28 years old. His paternal grandmother died before he was born. My mother, his maternal grandmother, died when he was 20. I am proud of Ryan for many reasons. Times have been tough in recent years and although he has a Bachelor’s Degree, instead of leaving the area he loves to find work, he went to work for his Aunt Carolyn’s cleaning business. Aunt Carolyn and Ryan came to love Virginia. They looked forward to seeing her, and doing what they could to take care of her. I am proud that my son is the type of young man who allowed a woman like Mrs. Barry to touch his heart. And I know from all I've heard about Mrs. Barry from Ryan that she must have been a truly wonderful woman. My condolences to her family.

Pat and Marsha,
I am so sorry about Ginny's passing. She was such a help to me after my own mom's sudden death in 1971. I always tried to visit with her whenever I was in Geneseo. I know this is such a big loss to you both and your families. Ginny may you rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Only Biddy is left from the old Groveland Road gang.
