Obituary of Gerald H. Kane Sr.

Gerald H. Kane Sr., 77, of Retsof Ave. in Retsof died, Friday, March 16, 2012 in Barefoot Bay, FL. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, son, Gerald (Becky) Kane Jr. of Leicester, daughters, Julie Kane of Melbourne, FL, Linda Kane of Malden, MA, grandchildren, Joshua Kane, Cameron Prior, several nieces, nephews and in laws. He was born March 20, 1934 in Warsaw, NY the son of Carl and Gertrude Jarvis Kane. Gerald was a US Marine Corps Veteran. He was a retired Safety Inspector for Mine Safety & Health Administration in Geneva, NY. Jerry was a member of St. Luke's Parish, Keshequa Golf Club in Sonyea, NY and Barefoot Senior Softball League in Barefoot, FL. He was a long time Umpire at Softball Unlimited. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
