Obituary of Joyce L. Parfitt

Joyce L. Parfitt, age 82, of Oneida Ave. in Geneseo, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, David Parfitt Jr. in 1988, son, Kenneth Parfitt in 2010 and grandson, Brent Rossborough in 2011. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Elizabeth) Parfitt of Perry, Steven (Laurie) Parfitt of Livonia, daughter in law, Jamie Parfitt of Geneseo, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. Joyce was born March 15, 1932 in Elmira, NY the daughter of Don and Minnie Iona Personius Edwards. She was a graduate of Southside High School in Elmira. Joyce was a Secretary at SUNY Geneseo and the Livingston County W.I.C. program in Mt. Morris. She was a member and the Secretary for Christ Community Church in Geneseo. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 from 3-7 PM at the Christ Community Church, 26 Center St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11 AM with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Country Christian School, 4120 Long Point Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454.
