My sincere condolences to Larry's family. I used to work with Larry in Bldg 329 at Kodak ..he was a great joy to be around at work. He worked in the development lab and I in the adjoining testing laboratory. He was creative & loved sharing his knowledge with others who worked with him. God Bless you all and I am very sad to hear of his passing. Fondly, Linda Aldinger Jagusiak

I had the privilege of patrolling on the same day shift with Larry at Swain for several years. He was always a gentleman and a hard working patroller who got the job done right every day. It was a pleasure to serve with him. Carolyn and I were also lucky enough to go on several Rochester Ski Club trips with Larry and Joy to Sunday River and Okemo and it was always fun to ski with them. Rain or shine, the weather never deterred Larry - he just loved being out on the snow in whatever conditions prevailed. Here are some photos of Larry patrolling at Swain and a nice shot of him getting ready to make first tracks at Sunday River.

Larry was a great friend for many years. I always looked forward to visiting the homestead and getting a tour of the vegetable garden. Nearly every year Larry would try a new plant, or an improved way to plant. We pitched horseshoes, and although no one genuinely wanted me on their team, Larry would always cheerfully welcome me to pitch. Sometimes I even surprised him with a double! More than a few times, actually. He was a great inspiration in so many ways.
I started skiing at the ripe old age of 46, and when I was competent enough to survive a trip with the boys, he'd invite me on the Black Diamond Tour (BDT). I took that trip many times, and our frequent trips to Killington inspired me to retire there. If not for Larry, I would never have thought to make this decision. One of my great regrets is that I didn't get the opportunity to return the favor and host him up here for a few days of bombing down Skyeburst into Bear. It was one of his favorite runs, and I think of him every time I take it.
Lar, I'll pour a Guiness out on Skye for you this winter.

I met Larry a little more than 40 years ago. He was my husband Ken Freeman's very good friend long before that. We enjoyed many good parties at Gratwick Highlands in the early days. After Larry & Joy met and married we started taking ski trips to the different ski areas in NY, ventured into Vermont and Maine. We sure had some wild adventures at the Blues Fest, skiing, tasting wine, enjoying good food, and especially enjoying each other's company. Larry and I shared a birth date - Ken and I always enjoyed finding just the right card for Larry and I know Larry & Joy did the same picking out my card. I'm really going to miss doing that this year my friend. Larry, you fought a good fight. It is your time to rest now. I can only hope that you and Ken are having a good visit now. Joy, I know you are heartbroken. You have gone through a lot. I'm here for you. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Love - Mitzie

Larry was an awesome skier. He loved it! The last time I skied with him at Swain, he was wearing an Oxygen tank on his back. Said he was doing good but would get "A Little Winded at times". HE WAS A REAL TROOPER! Larry, you will be greatly missed!

I remember on Christmas Eve, close to 35 years ago, Jamie was convinced Larry was Santa Claus. She climbed up on Larry's lap and she told him she wanted a doll, Cabbage Patch I believe. Santa Larry of course told her she would.. Afterwards my Dad told Larry, "you better hope she gets that doll!," She did. Thank you Larry for being a great sport. Santa Larry will be greatly missed!!

Larry will be truly missed. He was always so full of life and vigor. It was very sad to see that life be suffocated by such a horrible disease. Our hearts break for Joy and the family. May wonderful memories give you some condolence. Rest in eternal peace, dear friend.

Joy and all of the Seaman family
As you know, I was a classmate of Larry's and of course, shared many events/memories of those years. Did not realize all of Larry's accomplishments since graduation and there were many! Appears he had a wonderful life with his family, friends, coworkers and that adventure is what is important throughout the years. Treasure those memories. May Larry "Rest in Peace".
Our hearts go out to you~~
