Obituary of Florence E. Green

Florence E. Green, age 85, formerly of Greigsville, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Friendly Home in Brighton. She was predeceased by her husband, Willie in 2007, and sister, Catharine Forrest in 2012. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Yvette) Green of Rochester, Karen Green of Allentown, PA, Vicki Green Wright of Greenville, SC, grandchildren, Christian Green of Allentown, PA and Cortland Green of Tampa, FL, several nieces and nephews. Florence was born January 22, 1928 in Retsof, NY the daughter of George and Zenobia Washington Wise. She was the Postmaster in Piffard and a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in Mumford. Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2 PM at the Second Baptist Church, 957 George St. in Mumford, NY. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
