Obituary of William James Peterson

William James Peterson age 90 of Loudon, Tennessee passed away January 6th, 2021. Bill grew up in Perry, resided for many years in Geneseo and served his country during World War II. After working for the Rochester Telephone Company for 37 years, he retired and moved to Tellico Village, TN where he built a home on top of a wonderful lot overlooking the mountains. In his lifetime, he was very involved in community activities, was a world traveler and an avid woodworker. Bill was a longtime member and Past President of the Geneseo Kiwanis Club. 

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Peterson. Survivors include his wife Joyce Kocsis-Peterson, daughters, Cheryl (Geof) Mack, Brenda Peterson, Cyndy Peterson-Smith, step-daughter, Lora (Ron) Baker and step-son, Andy Kocsis. Bill has 9 grandchildren, Christy, Chad, Matthew, Eric, Liesl, Meghan, Alyssa, James and Andrea. Bill also has 9 great-grandchildren.

A closed celebration of life service will be held at Community Church at Tellico Village, TN on Sunday, January 10th, 2021 at 1:00PM EST. A live streaming service will be available.
