Obituary of Ethelyn McNeil

Ethelyn "Evie" McNeil, age 80, of Sebring , FL, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Florida. She was born January 1, 1933 to Elsworth and Isabelle Whitmore Drake in South Canisteo, NY and had been a resident of Sebring since 2004, coming from Geneseo. Evie is survived by her husband, Fred McNeil, son, Thomas Frank (Debbie) McNeil of Medford, OR, daughter, Shelly Lynn (Jeffrey) Lynch of Erie, PA, brother, Joel Bement of Key West, FL and six grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a very active member of Maranatha Baptist Church; volunteered with Sowers and enjoyed working with crafts and collecting lighthouses. She loved the Lord and her family and will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 10 AM -11 AM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St in Geneseo where funeral Services will follow visitation at 11 AM with Rev. Mike Smith Officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Community Church, 26 Center St., Geneseo, NY, 14454.
