Obituary of William E. Boyd Sr.

William E. Boyd, Sr., age 86, of Retsof, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. He was predeceased by his daughter in law, Teresa Boyd, sisters, Laura, Gloria and Jean, brothers, James, Robert, George and Jerry.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, children, Vicki (Rodney) Lown of Geneseo, William Boyd Jr. of FL, LuAnn (Dennis) Hartnett of Geneseo, grandchildren, Vanessa Boyd, William (Felix) Boyd III, Alecia (Bobby) Glenn, Abigail (Dan) Long, Max (Debbie) Hartnett, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was born September 4, 1934 in York, NY the son of James and Anna Nichols Boyd. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. Bill retired from AKZO Nobel Salt Mine in Retsof, NY as an Equipment Operator specializing in undercutting. He was a dedicated family man and an avid New York Yankee's Baseball fan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Memory Lane at the Livingston County C.N.R. for his wonderful care.

No prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
