John, Jim, and family - Our sincerest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. Sally was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We first met her in 2006 when we began the renovations on our home, which was built in 1894. Sally would walk down the road to see what we were doing and always offered her memories of activities through the years at this grand old house. In fact, the photo of her here was taken on our porch. We also have fond memories of her sailing by herself on Conesus Lake even in her later years. She was an inspiration to all of us on the lake and is sincerely missed.

John, Jimmy and all of your families we share your loss today. Sally was such a positive and wonderful caring person. Unlike many in contemporary society she treated everyone with the courtesy and respect that should be commonplace. Living next to her at the lake she was a beacon of optimism, and her joy for life was infectious. As a young boy my mother commissioned her to paint my portrait. Her artwork of Conesus Lake is prominent in our household, and serves as a constant reminder of her. She did not let her advancing years slow her down as she remained incredibly active, which I am sure allowed her to live a full and long life. One vivid memory of her is watching her enjoy her sailing on her sunfish right up until she moved to Morgan Estates. Coming back to the lake since then has not felt the same without Sally and all of you there. As a candle lights another to illuminate a darkened room, may one fond memory gather another to keep her alive in your minds and hearts forever.
