Obituary of Kenneth Thomas Mix

Kenneth Thomas Mix, age 94, of Geneseo, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at his residence. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen, son, Brian and his 9 siblings. He is survived by his children, Gary (Heidi) Mix of Geneseo, Cyndi Mix-Schoenrock of Buffalo, Thomas Mix of South Beach, FL, Sean Mix of Geneseo, Todd Mix of Geneseo, Tadd (Martha) Mix of Mt. Morris, Hayley (Jamie) Kelley of Geneseo, grandchildren, Brennan Mix, Sean (Stacy Mazzara) Mix, Marissa, Devin and Nichole Mix, Zach (Claire) Mix, Amy (Steve) Warner, Michael (Rhianna) Kelley, Kaesy (Mike Nock) Kelley, great grandchildren, Jack and Lucy Kelley, Lydia Warner, his canine companions, Sadie and Mae, many loving nieces and nephews. Tom's joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tom's caretaker, Debbie Schroeder. Tom was born August 10, 1925 in East Bethany, NY the son of George and Kathryn Fisher Mix. He was a US Air Force World War II Veteran. He attended SUNY Geneseo and retired from the US Post Office in Geneseo as a Clerk. Tom was an active participant in local Politics, serving on the Geneseo Village Board of Directors. He was a member of the VFW Post 5005 based in Geneseo and the Kiwanis Club of Geneseo. He was an acolyte and usher at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor. Due to COVID-19 there will be no prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass for the family will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church ( 25% capacity. Please wear a mask.) Private Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
