Obituary of Robert J. Loomis Jr.

Robert J. "Bob" Loomis Jr., age 59, of Groveland, died peacefully Sunday, March 22, 2020 at his residence. He was predeceased by his mother, Audrey Loomis and mother in law, Dona Merrick. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne, sons, Bowen (Rachel) Loomis of Hemlock, Bret (Chantal) Loomis of Webster, grandson, Aiden, father, Robert Loomis Sr. of Caledonia, sisters, Kim (Bill) Eley of Attica, Wendy (Burto) Rodriguez of Ocala, FL, father in law, Bill Merrick of Groveland, many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Bob was born September 10, 1960 in Caledonia, NY the son of Robert J. and Audrey Clark Loomis Sr. He was a graduate of Caledonia Central School class of 1978 where he was a member of their varsity football team. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Arcadia Bass Anglers and the Conesus Lake Tuesday Night Working Man's Fishing Tournaments. Due to COVID-19 there will be no prior calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland at a time to be announced. A Celebration of Bob's Life will follow gravesides services at the family residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
