Obituary of Andrea N. Muscarella

Andrea N. "Andy" Muscarella, age 88, of Leicester, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrea and Josephine Muscarella, sisters, Rose Morrocco, Grace Nasca, Carrie LaViola and Nancy Porello, brothers, Leonard and Thomas Muscarella Sr and niece, RoseMarie Muscalino. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Prestly Muscarella, children, Andrew Muscarella of Leicester, David Muscarella of West Concord, MN, Catherine (Mark) VanHorne of Lima and grandson, Adam Muscarella of Missoula, MT. Andy was the last surviving member of his family and kept in touch with his many nieces and nephews including, Mary Spacher, Andrew Morrocco, Gerald Nasca, Phyllis Di Rose, Kathleen Delpa, Leonard Muscarella and Thomas Muscarella Jr. Andy was born March 25, 1931 in Avon, NY the son of Andrea and Josephine Scorsone Muscarella. He was a life-long dairy farmer and world traveler. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Pat to many of America's National Parks. Andy also enjoyed his visits in Europe, South and Central America with friends and trip planners, Jim and Marilyn Yasso. Andy was a 65 year member of the Leicester Fire Department and a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Leicester. Due to COVID-19 there will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Leicester at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leicester Fire Department, 126 Main St., Leicester, NY 14481.
