Obituary of Friede Ruth Metzger

Friede Ruth Metzger, 75, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 14, 2013, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning, SC. Born July 14, 1938, in Bath, NY, she was the daughter of Joyce Elizabeth Hibbard Metzger and the late Rudolf Wilhelm Metzger. She retired in 1991 as a certified nurse's assistant with Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY, and later retired from Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton, SC; she was a member of TOPS, the Red Hat Society and she was of the Assembly of God faith. She is survived by her mother of Mt. Morris, NY; her brother, Rev. Paul Metzger (Marjorie) of Leicester, NY; her friend and caregiver, Beth Pfromm of Manning; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Metzger; her sister, June Metzger; her nephew, David Fletcher Metzger; and her great nephew, David Ellis Metzger. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1 PM at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (Garden of Life), 11 Murray Hill Dr., in Mt. Morris. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammondsport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Assembly of God Church, 2 Haley Ave. Geneseo, NY 14454.
