Obituary of Father John Eudes Bamberger

Rev. Father John Eudes Bamberger, age 93, of the Abby of the Genesee in Piffard, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 21, 2020 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was predeceased by his siblings, James and Nancy Bamberger. He is survived by his sisters, Michelle Bamberger, Joan Brennan, brother, Joseph Bamberger, many nieces and nephews and fellow Trappist Monks at the Abbey of the Genesee. Father John was born August 24, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH the son of Joseph Fredrick and Dorothy O'Donovan Bamberger. He was a US Navy WWII Veteran. Rev. Father John served as Abbot at the Abbey of the Genesee for over 30 years. Vespers will be offered on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 5 PM at the Abbey of the Genesee where Rev. Father John's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 10 AM. Burial will be in Abbey of the Genesee Cemetery in Piffard, NY.
