Obituary of Helen L. Hussey

Helen L. Hussey passed peacefully at the age of 93, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Morgan Estates in Geneseo. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert Hussey, parents, Harold and Jessie May Lathan, brothers, James and Paul Lathan. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Bass of Nashville, TN, Teresa (David) Harris of Avon, Robert Hussy of Mt. Morris, Paul Hussey of Hurricane Mills, TN, Mary Ellen (Curtis) Hopper of Lascassas, TN, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister in law, Rose Lathan of FL, many nieces and nephews. Helen was born July 17, 1926 in Bliss, NY the daughter of Harold and Jessie May Dutton Lathan. She was a graduate of Dansville High School and resided in Leicester for 63 years. Helen was a Therapist for Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea before retiring to Florida where she enjoyed flower gardening and shuffle board. No prior calling hours. Her Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 175 Main St. in Leicester with Father Bernard Dan officiating. Interment will be in Leicester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morgan Estates (Activity Fund), 4588 Morgan View Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454 or the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, P.O.
