I went to school with Dan...from elementary through high school. My memories of him are one of a happy individual who sought to bring that joy to those with whom he came into contact.
I recall at one of our high school reunions I told him I lived outside of Milwaukee, and he told me that he had been in Wisconsin during the winter for a work related assignment. He wondered how anyone would choose to live there in such cold! It would not be his choice.
Dan, your involvement in the Geneseo community was and is to be admired as are the accomplishments you achieved in the work place. I am proud to have known you.
May you peacefully rest now in the arms of our Lord and Savior,
Jayne Riesch Schrank

To Danny's Family,
My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to each of you.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Danny was certainly one of a kind. He could be counted on to make you laugh. His deep voice was always telling a joke or a story. I met Danny while in college and enjoyed his friendship.
He was such a fixture to Geneseo & the entire village.
He was blessed to have 3 beautiful children who were certainly there for him when he needed them the most..
PEACE to all of you and to Danny now. May he rest in peace w/those who were waiting for him..
Hugs,
Patty

The world is a different place without you Doc. You were the master-planner providing all logistics to make your many trips to the Phoenix Open so convenient
for me and your many entourages. You were the "leader of the pack" for those and other trips out west, the heart & backbone for all of us.
A great deal of tears have been shed from all of us for you and are thoughts are with Craig and family in the next few days, it feels like time has stood still since your passing.
See ya on the other side Doc........

Geneseo has again lost one of its finest sons. Whenever I would come back to the lake I would always see Dan at LCC or somewhere else in town. To many he was "Doc", but to my brother Al and me, we called him the "Mayor". Dan always had an infectious smile, coupled with his baritone voice that would cause you to listen. To all of his family, I share your loss as the Lord always takes the best. I have little doubt that he has filled you with a treasury of wonderful memories that will keep him alive in your minds and hearts forever.

Doc's smile and laughter lit up a room like no other! He was the greatest joke teller ever, and always had a kind word for everyone! As a very close friend, roommate, and someone I always looked up to, you will be incredibly missed by myself and so many whom you have touched with your smile and wit. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Chiara family and all those who loved this beautiful man! You were truly one of a kind my friend, "You were a doctor for kripes sake!" Rest in Peace my good friend, Bruce Miller

My condolences to Danny's family. We graduated from Geneseo Central - class of '61 together. I have many fond memories of our junior high and high school years. An ironic/funny memory is what my mom and Danny's mom told us...my birthday is 8 days earlier, but in those days, moms stayed in hospitals for a long time. So, my mom was still in Warsaw Hospital when Mrs. Chiara gave birth to Danny.
