Obituary of Ralph E. Flynn

Ralph E. Flynn, 96, of Main St. in Wadsworth, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Batavia, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Lois, brothers, George and Raymond Flynn and sister, Marion Hawkins. He is survived by his loving daughter, Teri Ann Comfort of Wadsworth and her life partner, Bobby Lovelace, son, Raymond Flynn of Rochester, special "daughter", Paula Christiano of Retsof, longtime companion, Helen D. Wolfe of York, sister in law, Noreen Flynn of Wadsworth, nieces and nephews. Ralph was born September 3, 1923 in York, NY the son of James and Nellie E. Weller Flynn. He was a 1942 graduate of York Central School where he starred in basketball. Ralph was a lifelong farmer and lover of horses. He worked as a self-employed general contractor, a school bus driver for York Central School and retired as Highway Superintendent for the Town of York. A Celebration of Ralph's Life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 1PM at the York Town Hall, 2668 Main St. in York. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to York Central School (Athletic Dept.), PO Box 102, Retsof, NY 14539 or the Livingston County EMS, 3360 Gypsy Lane, Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
