Obituary of Helen M. Bennett

Helen M. Bennett, age 87, of Stuyvesant Manor in Geneseo, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She is survived by her husband, Arlie Bennett Jr., children, Arlie (Susan) Bennett III of Geneseo, Robert (Nicole) Bennett of Henrietta, Bonnie (Edward) Monoski of Essex, NY, Bruce (Jean) Bennett, John (Catherine) Bennett both of Geneseo, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother, Jack (Dorothy) Schirmer of Mt. Morris, many nieces and nephews. Helen was born March 15, 1926 in Cuylerville, NY the daughter of John Peter and Alice I. Carpenter Schirmer. She was retired from SUNY Geneseo. Helen was a longtime member of the Geneseo United Methodist Church and was also involved in Scouting. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:30 AM at the United Methodist Church, 4520 Route 63 in Geneseo with Rev. Keith Griswold officiating. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, 4520 Route 63, Geneseo, NY 14454.
