Please accept my deepest condolence to all the Beale family members. Dick and I were great friends during my almost six years teaching with him at SUNY Geneseo. He was a great inspiration to me, and we spent a lot of time together conversing about art. The best course I ever gave was a co-taught drawing class with Dick. His vision as a painter and my own vision and ideas about sculpture and three dimensional space were a great mixture in that course.
We shared times later when he and Irene visited me and my wife Jo-Anne in Maine.
Bless you all in your grieving time. I will remember Dick forever,
