Obituary of Neil E. "Monk" Harris

Neil E. "Monk" Harris, Jr., age 86, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his residence. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leon, Donald and Ernie Harris, sisters, Alice Parker and Florence Heinlein.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie, sons, Gary (Michael McQuinn) Harris of Brighton, Larry (Chrissy) Harris of Wadsworth, brother, Harold "Pidge" Harris of Macedon, step brother, Edward (Maris) Rauber of Cuylerville, sisters in law, Mae MacIntyre of York, Rachel Thayer of Pittsford, Shirley Harris of Batavia, Sue Beachel of Cuylerville, many nieces and nephews.

Monk was born February 1, 1933 in York, NY the son Neil E. and Ruth Nichols Harris Sr. He owned and operated Monk's Used Car's in Wadsworth for many years.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo with Father Billy Daniel officiating. Interment will be in Temple Hill Cemetery, Geneseo.
