Obituary of Bertha D. Lathrop

Bertha D. Lathrop, age 99, of Geneseo, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1997.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat (Jerry) Linn of Damascus, MD and Nancy Szczesniak of Conesus, 5 grandchildren, Susan (Jeff) Becker of Conesus, Jim (Melissa) Szczesniak of Canandaigua, Wendy (Will Kim) Szczesniak of Manhattan, Erik (Katie) Linn of McLean, VA, Kristi (Robert) Williams of Damascus, MD, 8 great grandchildren, Justin and Alyssa Becker, Dylan (Kaity) Szczesniak, Adam, Caleb and Ethan Linn, Maddie and Sarah Williams, her sister, Margaret Nichols of Fairport, several nieces and nephews.

Bertha was born March 19, 1920 in Livonia, NY the daughter of John and Mary Cratsley Driscoll. She retired from Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea in 1980 where she served as a Supervisor. Bertha loved spending time with her family, especially following her retirement.

Friends may call Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 1-3 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Jeff Tunnicliff officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Livonia.
