Obituary of Carol A. Pender
Carol A. Pender, age 74, of Groveland, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Milton Pender, her children, Cindy (Richard) Canarvis of Livonia, Jeffrey (Kerri) Pender of Tampa, FL, loving grandson, Parker Canarvis of Livonia and her brother, Carl (Nobuko) Benware of Groveland.
Carol was born May 16, 1945 in Owl's Head, NY the daughter of Archie and Gertrude Barcomb Benware. She was a retired Secretary from Monroe Development Center in Rochester. Carol was a member of the Civil Service Employees Association for retirees and also a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo for many years. She loved to attend Livonia High School soccer and track meets to watch her grandson Parker. Carol loved to go on cruses and vacationing with her beloved family.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
