Obituary of Richard H. Toland

Richard H. Toland, age 83, of Genesee St. in Piffard, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Richard was born May 25, 1930 in Geneseo, NY the son of Stark H. and Nellie Blackmer Toland. He served in the US Army during the the Korean War from 1954-1956. Richard retired from Gleason Works in Rochester after 42 years of service in 1992. He is survived by his wife: Jean Ann Hovey Toland , his children, David Toland of Leroy, Wanda (Joe) Caldwell of Dansville, Brenda (David) Milroy of Mt. Morris, Scott (Shelleen) Toland of Leroy, 8 grandchildren, Chad and Todd Toland, Jeffrey and Dale Caldwell, Michael and Melissa Milroy, Justin and Dylan Toland. Friends may call Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1 PM. Pastor Chris Ortego of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
