Obituary of Ray R. Ruliffson

Ray R. Ruliffson, age 67, of Geneseo, died Monday, July 8, 2019 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his mother, Marion Ruliffson, brothers, Glenn “Butch” and Casey Ruliffson.  

 

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Beth Ruliffson, father, Allen Ruliffson, children, Kim (Nico Bennett) Ruliffson of ND, Jenn (Larry) Stroud of VA, Eric Ruliffson of TX, Kaytee (Aaron) Ruliffson-Orzolick of AZ, grandchildren, Austin, Jack and Carson Stroud, McKenna and Mya Bennett, brother, Gary (Gail) Ruliffson of Scottsburg, sister in laws, Alice Ruliffson of VA, Margie (UB) Sutton of Rochester, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Ray was born December 29, 1951 in Batavia, NY the son of Allen and Marion Thompson Ruliffson. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Ray was inducted into the RIT Hall of Fame and a Livingston County All American for wrestling. Ray retired as a Quality Control Engineer in Mechanical Engineering for Chapin Industries in Batavia. He was a loving and caring husband, father and friend to many who just met him.

 

A special thanks is extended to Dr. Kleiner and the Highland Oncology team in Brockport, the Highland Hospital Medical Team and all folks who cared dearly for Ray and our family.

 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10 AM with Lucille Kane officiating.
