Obituary of David C. Barber

David C. Barber, age 76, of Groveland, died Monday, April 15, 2019 at his residence. He was predeceased by his son, Norman Barber, sister, Donna "Sis" Cook and niece, Leslie Scoville.

He is survived by his brother, Donald (Joanne) Barber Sr. of Geneseo, niece, Laurie (John) McCurdy of Victor, nephews, Donald (Janet) Barber Jr. of Groveland, Michael (Lynn) Cook of Livonia, Steven (Jenna Headly) Cook of Honeoye, beloved friends, Greg Beals of Groveland and Karen Uhl of Wadsworth, his feline companion, Blackie.

David was born April 15, 1943 in Warsaw, NY the son of Donald M. and Alma J. Culbertson Barber. He was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. David was an Electrician by trade but was known around the area for being an all-around handyman.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 2:30 PM with Dorothy Hotchkiss officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11 AM in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
