Obituary of Mary Frances Fontenot

Mary Frances "Fran" Airel Fontenot, age 90, of Geneseo, died Monday, February 11, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Gary Airel and ex-husband, Walter Airel.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Airel of Geneseo, Greg (Mary) Airel of OH, grandchildren, Greg (Maura) Airel of OH, Rebecca (Patrick) Arcaro of OH, Kristen Airel of OH, great grandchildren, Sophia and Logan, many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born April 24, 1928 in Sunset, LA the daughter of Laurent and Anna Guillory Lamury. She retired from Geneseo Central School as a Secretary after many years of service.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 7 AM at the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard with a reception to follow at 9 AM at the Big Tree Inn, 46 Main St. in Geneseo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abbey of the Genesee, 3250 River Rd., Piffard, NY 14533.
