Obituary of Charlotte Elizabeth Parmley

Charlotte Elizabeth Parmley, age 95, formerly of Geneseo, died peacefully Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Elderwood Skilled Nursing Facility in Hornell, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, James Parmley, sister, Katherine Shea and grandson, Michael Parmley.

She is survived by her children, James (Sharon) Parmley of Vero Beach, FL, David Parmley of Hornell, Anne (Paul) Dunn of Sylvan Beach, NY, two grandchildren, Bryan (Elizabeth) Parmley of Manlius, NY, Shawn Masse of Oneida, NY, two great-grandchildren Katherine and Thomas Parmley, nephews, Robert (Cheryl) Shea of VA and John (Nancy) Rolls of Sebring, FL.

Charlotte was born October 9, 1923 in Hancock, NY. She was a graduate of Hancock Central School and Binghamton Business School. After graduating she worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Binghamton for a number of years. Upon moving to Geneseo she was employed by SUNY Geneseo for many years.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the entire staff at Elderwood Skilled Nursing Facility where they made her comfortable her last few years.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4-6 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
