Obituary of Gary L. Mitchell

Garald L. "Gary" Mitchell, 72, of West Lake Road in Geneseo, died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his wife, Linda Mitchell, his children, Gary Mitchell of Bangkok, Thailand and Erin (Mark) Vitale of Piffard, his grandchildren, Veronica And Mitchell Vitale of Piffard, several cousins. Gary was born January 7, 1941 in Sacramento, CA the son of George and Bertha Lew Mitchell. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Gary served in the US Marine Corps Reserves. He was an active member of the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo. Gary worked as a Civil Engineer for Peter Kiewit and Sons based in Omaha, Nebraska. Friends may call Saturday, September 28 from 2-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. A Celebration of Gary's Life will be held at a later date.
