Obituary of Carrie E. Occhioni

Carrie E. Occhioni, age 94, of Wadsworth, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, sisters, Caroline and Mary Capotelli, Josephine Sturdevant, brothers, John and James Yasso.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Thomas) Smith of Spencerport, Peter (Kathy) Occhioni of Piffard, Paula (Jerry) Christiano of Retsof, 5 grandchildren, Thomas (Lisa) Smith of Arlington, MA, Lisa (John) Minogue of Arlington, MA, Peter Occhioni of Henrietta, Lindsey (Gaeton) Beauchamp of Leroy, Michael (Nicole) Christiano of Cuylerville, 8 great grandchildren, sister, Rosemarie (Larry) Valentino of Geneseo, nieces, nephews and in laws.

Carrie was born August 28, 1923 in Retsof, NY daughter of Carmine and Carmela Fusco Yasso. She retired from Chloride Electro Networks in Caledonia after many years. Carrie was a longtime member of St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. She was known for her time spent in the kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends. Carrie also enjoyed sewing and tending to gardens.

No prior calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
