Bye to my aunt Annmarie. Annmarie was the first German War bride. She came to Buffalo, NY with my uncle Carlton to be married. She helped in the rebuilding of Germany with her knowledge of six languages. That is where she met my uncle who was helped in the rebuilding Germany.
We all loved her energy, intelligence and love of life. She will be missed.

I worked with Annmarie for many years at Scott Aviation during the 70’s and 80’s. She was a wonderful woman and a delight to work with. Annmarie was one of 5 people I worked with. My job was to type their hand written letters which were than mailed to our customers and distributors. It was not unusual for her letters to run two full pages of type and sometimes it went to 3 pages! She was always so meticulous and I dare never to change any wording!! She spent a lot of time talking to our customers and I grew to understand and enjoy her accent! She was a Gem!! When I married in 1976 she gave me a wedding gift of a 3 pc casserole which I still have and use today. I always think of her when I use them. My sympathies to her family and hope you have many fond memories of Annmarie as I do.
