Obituary of Helen J. Carman

Helen J. Carman, age 86, of Upper Bean Hill Rd. in Groveland, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Skip Carman in 2013, son, Bobby Carman in 1964 and several siblings.

She is survived by her children, Lee (Chuck) Decker of Old Chatham, NY, William (Julie) Carman of Groveland, Cathy Carman of Groveland, Lisa (Ron) Niedermaier of Groveland, Lew Carman of Colorado Springs, CO, Wendy (Charles) Simmer of Rochester, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother, Charles Sylvester of Vero Beach, FL, many nieces and nephews.

Helen was born March 2, 1932 in Spring Lake, NJ the daughter of William and Margaret Stiner Sylvester. She ran the Rustic Inn on Maple Beach Rd. in Groveland for many years. Helen loved going to the beach and visiting casinos.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10 AM.
