Obituary of Rachel A. Moore

Rachel A. Moore, 95, a resident of the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, died there Friday, August 30, 2013. Mrs. Moore previously resided at Morgan Estates in Geneseo and Lattimer Rd. in Groveland prior to Morgan Estates. She was predeceased by her husband, Craig in 2000, her siblings, Carrie Irwin, Marion Crane, Raymond Crane, John Crane and Murray Crane. She is survived by her children, Colleen (Richard) Orman of Southern Pines, NC, Kay (Charles) Sheffield of Geneseo, Michael (Karen Bryant) Moore of Livonia, grandchildren, Steve (Carrie Cliff) Orman, Mandy (Doug) Mothercell, Ethan Moore, great grandchildren, Jeremiah Craig Mothercell, Levi James Mothercell, Terry Alletto, great great grandson, AJ Alletto, sisters, Elizabeth Swartz of Dansville, Joyce Wester of Elmira, many nieces and nephews. She was born March 25, 1918 in Groveland, NY the daughter of Raymond and Nina Ridley Crane. She was a retired Nurses Aide at the Livingston County Infirmary in Geneseo. Rachel and her late husband, Craig also owned and operated their farm on Lattimer Rd. in Groveland. She was a member of the Groveland Federated Parish. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11 AM at the Groveland Federated Parish with Dorothy Hotchkiss officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Groveland Federated Parish, 6616 Groveland Hill Rd., Groveland, NY 14462.
