Obituary of Maryanne M. Douglass

Maryanne M. Douglass, 68, of North Road in Geneseo, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY. Miss Douglass had previously resided in West Palm Beach, FL and Manchester, TN. She is survived by her sister, Susan Chase of Port St. Lucie, nephew, Douglass Grotefiend of Ft. Pierce, FL, cousins, Holly (Russell) Harvey of Geneseo, NY, Phillip (Martha) Linn of Columbus, GA, James (Elyse) Linn of Tallahassee, FL, Carol (George) Williams of Hilton Head, SC, Sharon Hewitt of Sarasota, FL and Michael Shamblin of Edina, MN. Maryanne's family would like to thank the staff at Monroe Community Hospital Friendship 4 East for her excellent care. She was born July 8, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Emil and Louise Linn Douglass. Maryanne was a graduate of the University of Alaska where she received her Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. She was employed as a Victim's Advocate in Broward County, FL before moving to Manchester, TN and then Geneseo, NY. No Prior Calling Hours. Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 4 PM at Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland with Pastor Nancy Lowmaster of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo officiating.
