Obituary of Sara A. Battaglia

Sara A. Battaglia, age 83, of Temple Hill Acres in Geneseo, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Wyoming County Community Health System in Warsaw, NY. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rosaline and Antoinette, brothers, Carmine and Samuel. She is survived by her sisters, Mary and Josephine Battaglia, niece, Barbara Battaglia, great niece, Ashton Battaglia all of Geneseo. Sara was born May 2, 1932 in Retsof, NY the daughter of Frank and Antoinette Sica Battaglia. She was a seamstress for Champion Products in Geneseo. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Friends may call Monday, April 18, 2016 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church, 13 North St., Geneseo, NY 14454.
