Obituary of Beverly K. Scollon

Beverly K. Scollon, 85, of Parker Hill Road in Dansville, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Mrs. Scollon was born on March 5, 1927 in Himrod, NY the daughter of the Leroy and Anna (Moshier) King. She graduated in 1943 from Dundee Central School. She married Edwin Robert Scollon on September 4, 1948. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a registered nurse at St. James Hospital in Hornell. She was a member of the Nursing Cadets during World War II, the Dansville United Methodist Church and a volunteer for several years helping migrant children in Livingston County. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Robert Scollon Sr. in 1978 and son Richard Charles Scollon in 1989. She is survived by 3 children, Christopher J. (Marie) Scollon of Dansville, Edwin R. (Lori) Scollon Jr. of Danamora, NY and Carol (Tony) Kanipe of South Carolina, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Sheree of Florida and Shirley of Corning, 1 sister-in-law, Helen Scollon of Elmira, many nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear and loving friends. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
