Obituary of Anthony F. Yamonaco

Anthony F. Yamonaco, age 91, of Leicester, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia, NY. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Minnie, children, James (Debbie) Yamonaco of Leicester, Barbara (Phillip) Noble of Venice, FL, Richard Yamonaco of Venice, FL, Toni Teresa of Leicester, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister, Irene Chenault of Venice, FL, many nieces and nephews. Anthony was born October 20, 1924 in Leicester, NY the son of Angelo and Antoinette Yasso Yamonaco. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Marine Corps. Tony was a retired Forman for Christopher Construction in Columbus, OH. He was a life time member of the American Legion, DAV, and the VFW in Florida. He was also a member of the 4th Marine Association and a Purple Heart recipient. Friends may call Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10 AM with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the New York State Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020.
