I am saddened to hear of Joe's passing. Although I barely knew him, Violet and his brother's family kept me "in the loop" for many early years, and Joe radiated such an intensity that I really feel I knew him.
Kathy (my sister) and I have two of his photographs displayed in our small house. They are of Mount St. Helen's before the volcano blew, taken, I believe, from Mt. Adams, and Mt. Rainier, taken from St. Helen's. I remember Joe taking a class from Ansel Adams and loving what he learned and experienced. I enjoyed hearing about the farm and goats. And his young family. Violet loved sharing about Joe's son in his early and teen years.
You've lost an amazing man. My thoughts are with you.
