Obituary of Eleanor Rose Smith

Eleanor Rose Smith, age 63, a resident at the Steuben County Health Center in Bath, formerly of Geneseo, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Smith and daughter, Rose Marie Smith. She is survived by her children, Beth Smith of Mt. Morris and Jerry (Melody) Smith of Wayland, grandchildren, Courtney and Melissa Werndle, Layah SmithVann, Makayla Smith, Alijah Vann, Preston Shepard and JJ Smith, sister in law, Kathy Heckman of York, several siblings, nieces and nephews. Rose was born February 10, 1952 in Dansville, NY the daughter of Olan and Nellie Howard. She retired from the Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse of Livingston County. Friends may call Friday, September 25, 2015 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1 PM. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Scottsburg.
