Obituary of Margaret Ann Moore
Margaret Ann Moore passed at home on the morning of June 10, 2012 after short notice of extensive cancer.
Born May 4, 1938 in Batavia, she was the eldest of 3 daughters of area Restaurateurs Sam and Lucy Panepento. Margaret graduated from Cal-Mum High and at age 18 married war-Hero Arthur Moore, decorated Veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. She lived and traveled the East Coast as a Navy-Wife raising their children, David and Maureen.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Arthur Moore in 1999 and sister, Andrea in 1989. In addition to her children she is survived by her grandchildren, Haili and Courtney; great grandchild, Maximus, sisters & brothers in-laws: Paula, Tom, Bill, Jill, Sandy, Bob, Lori, Don, Shirley, Jack, Jim, Minor, Joyce, and many other relatives and friends. She was referred to as Aunt & Grandma to so many.
Margaret retired as Head Quality-Inspector at CooperVision. She became traveler and professional gambler with partner Bob Semmel. An amateur Drag-Racer, known for her striking Teal-Blue Eyes - a trait she passed to all the girls in her daughter's line. A woman of sagacious Wit, Vast Love and unerring insight into human character, she was loved by all who knew her.
Calling Hours 4 - 8 PM Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Graveside Service 10 AM Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Saint Francis Cemetery in Leroy.
