As friends who have shared great joy with the Flansburg family, we have been praying ever since we heard Mary was sick. We are saddened by her passing, for the sake of those who remain. Because we believe for Mary, passing through Death is not loss, but gain, and entering into the loving arms of Christ. We continue to pray, now, for the consolation of those who are left behind. Look to Mary!--she who held her Son's pierced body on Good Friday will comfort you! With love and great sympathy, the Clancy Family

We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the family. Mary was the wife and mother that we all strive to be, with her brilliant smile, loving words and gentle heart and her unyielding faith. Myself and my family were fortunate enough to have Mary and the family in our lives and we are better people for having known you all. Mary's light and love live on through each and every one of you. All of our love now and always. Lisa, Adam and Brad.

To Mike and the family – My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow. Mary was an absolute pleasure to work with at Excellus. I was new and Mary was always willing to share her knowledge and a kind word. We spoke of family many times and how proud she was of you. I was lucky to have experienced the love between all of you while visiting her in the hospital. I could see she had a close family and you were all such wonderful support for her. Mary was devoted to her family; she treated others fairly, and she walked with the knowledge that God walked with her. If we all had a little Mary in us, the world would be a better place. You truly have an angel watching over you.

Hi Susan, Rita and Naomi,
I offer my condolences for your sister's passing. It is indeed a passing...passing into the arms of her
beloved Jesus. She was and is His treasure. I will pray for you and your family, as I know she will be missed. I'm also going to ask for her prayers, as I feel she will be a leaning on Jesus's shoulder and can whisper all requests right into His ear.
Love, Stacy

Tribute to my best friend, Mary.
Good Lord.
It's with great sadness to hear about the passing to eternal life of the good friend of our Lord and my good friend, Mary Vasquez. My admiration of a woman who always walked with the Lord ever on her side. That woman of course, is Mary Vasquez.
I’ve known Mary for about 12 years. She's a Godly woman, she has such grace. Always a warm greeting, a smile on her face. She's always encouraging, she knows her place with God. When I think of what a devoted Chritian means, I think of what I'm constantly struggling to be. Mary was true Catholic and a model of a mother. I could see her lead her children to Church every weekend when I was her pastor and I could tell that she never doubted her call to be what God wanted her to be. She was just vibrant, authentic, approachable, warm, sensitive… in other words, a magnet. She did her best to bring Sam to church.
To Elisa, John, Lydia, Julia, and Samuel; I know you have lost more than a mother, but be thankful you had such a mother for such a short time. You sure have an angel you can now call by name.
She has reached the end of this race. As she meets her Master face to face . Surely our God has a Special Place In Heaven for - Mary Vasquez.
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. AMEN.
I'm Fr. George Okoth currently deployed in Afghanistan until some time next year.

There's a reason for the saying, "You look like you just lost your best friend". It's because of the void that's left when that first person you couldn't wait to tell your good news to or who was always there with a shoulder to cry on, that kindred spirit that's so hard to find is gone forever. Mary was that best friend for me. Rest in peace, my dear Mary. I'll always love you and you'll be in my heart forever. My deepest condolences to all of her family and those who loved her.

heartfelt prayers for Mary and for all of her family. Mary's mother, Georgia, was one of the first persons I met when we moved to NY, and the family and their walk in faith have been a source of inspiration and strength to me. May Mary rest in peace through the mercy of God and may all of her family be comforted in the assurance of eternal life with God.

Although I did not know Mary personally, I do know Rita, Regina, and Susan, who have been a big part of my life with Communion and Liberation. Friends from Washington said a Rosary for Mary and her family last night. You have an angel to protect you now.
