Obituary of Samuel M. Boyd

Samuel M. Boyd, 83, of Beakrush Lane in West Henreitta, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester. Mr. Boyd was a long time resident of Geneseo. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Boyd, daughters, Marion (Fred) Schremp of Roswell, GA, Debbie McDowell of Macedon, grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn McDowell, Andrew McDowell, Mari Rose Schremp, great granddaughter, Jaelynne Payton Majors, sister, June Dempster of Belfast, Ireland, several nieces and nephews. He was born August 31, 1928 in Belfast, Ireland the son of Samuel and Maggie White Boyd. He served in the British Air Force for 24 years. Sam was employed as a switch technician for Rochester Telephone. He was a volunteer EMT for Geneseo Ambulance. Sam was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Avon and Geneseo Central Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 3-5 PM where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 5 PM.
