Obituary of Margaret R. Fanaro

Margaret R. Fanaro, of Canandaigua, formerly of Geneseo, died at home April 6, 2013 after an extended illness. She was born March 4, 1925 to Charles and Agnes Cox. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Fanaro Sr., daughter, Mary Lewandowski, granddaughter, Donna Munnings, brothers, John, Joseph, James, Vincent, Vern, Walter, Donald, Philip, Richard and Robert Cox, sisters, Mary Doris Cox, Ruth Long, Catherine Lamb and Mary Flickner. She is survived by her loving children, David Fanaro of Mt. Morris, Barbara (Steve) Gates of Wadsworth, Sue (Pete) Kaszynski of Canandaigua, stepdaughter, Dorothy (Carl) Montante and family of Buffalo, stepson, Fred (Karen) Fanaro Jr. of Buffalo, 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, sister, Theresa Shull of Dansville, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 4-7 PM. Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ontario-Yates County Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456 or the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454.
