Obituary of Mona Curley-Sperry

Mona Curley-Sperry of Vero Beach, Florida, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Harbor Chase in Vero Beach. She was born in Sylvan Grove, PA and wed Donald E. "Gene" Curley in 1948. In 1956, they moved to Rochester, NY and lived there until 1977, when they relocated to Holiday Harbour in Canandaigua, NY. Mona had a career in the insurance industry and retired from Loomis & Co. in 1987 where she was a Commercial Lines Insurance Agent. After her retirement, they moved to Vero Beach. Gene pre-deceased her in 1996 and she married Donald W. Sperry in 1999. She is survived by her husband, Donald; 3 children, Marla J. Curley of Atlanta, GA, Craig E. (Linda) Curley of Churchville, Donald E. "Gene" (Marilyn) Curley, Jr. of Geneseo, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Bertha Potter of PA, 1 brother Edward (Nancy) Beam of NC, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1 PM at the Geneseo United Methodist Church, 4520 Genesee Street, Route 63, Geneseo, NY. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
