Obituary of Alice H. Carr

Alice H. Carr, 88, of Oak St. in Geneseo, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Alice was a lifelong resident of Geneseo. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sue (Richard) Conant of Sodus Point, Kathy Carr of Avon, son, Jack (Paula) Carr of Bettendorf, IA, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Drew) Weathers of Charleston, SC, John (Alexandria) Carr of Ames, IA, Robert (Shannon) Carr of Davenport, IA, great grandchildren, Josie and Sophia Weathers, sister, Mary Stubbe of Penfield, niece, Kathy (Steve) Salvati of Avon, several cousins. She was born June 18, 1924 in Geneseo the daughter of John and Ann O'Connor Hendrick. Alice graduated from Geneseo High School in 1942 and the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1946 with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She was a longtime kindergarten teacher at Livonia Central School where she retired in 1985. Alice was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 1-3 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
