Obituary of Patsy P. Montemarano

Patsy P. Montemarano, 90 died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY where he had been a resident since 2008. Pat was formerly of Jacqueline Way in Geneseo and also resided on Main St. in York. He is survived by his children, Carol Johnson of Pavilion, Carl (Laura) Monterone of York, daughter in law, Hope Monterone of NC, grandchildren, John Monterone, Christopher Ewell, Justin Abbott, Shawn and Shannon Monterone, brothers, Joseph Montemarano of Leicester, Ray Montemarano of Las Vegas, NV, sister Rose McCart of Leicester, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances and his son Patrick Monterone. Pat was born September 7, 1920 in Cuylerville, NY the son of Dominic and Maria Marciello Montemarano. He was a World War II US Army veteran and a Prisoner of War survivor. Pat was employed by Pavilion Natural Gas Company in Geneseo and retired from Rochester Gas & Electric in 1982. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd in Geneseo with Father Bernard Dan officiating.
