Obituary of Loraine M. Slane

Loraine M. Slane, 88, of Transit Road in Pavilion, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, NY. She is survived by her children, Jackson Slane of Leroy, Terry (Marsha) Slane of New Mexico, Kathleen (Roger) Collins of Geneseo, Janet (Ron Edwards) Henderson of Wyoming, NY, Sandra (Daryl) Lichti of Florida, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Slane, and her sisters, Arlene Stewart, Alice Smith and Frances Seaman. She was born September 3, 1922 in York, NY the daughter of Ray and Georgiana Biggert Milligan. Loraine was a graduate of Greigsville High School and the Rochester Business Institute. She was a retired bookkeeper from Stisser Hardware Store in Pavilion. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10 AM at the Covington United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Laura Fry officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
