Obituary of Jeanette Adamson

Jeanette Adamson, 87, of Church St. in Groveland died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Darien, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Adamson, Marquenite Smith, Lillian Riley, and William Mitchell. She is survived by her children, Thomas Adamson, Kevin (Debbie) Adamson both of Munsville, Marcia (Brian) Bontrager of Darien Center, grandchildren, Kelli (Ben) Sandow, Casey (Dave) Scott, Andrew Bontrager, Michelle and Matthew Adamson, great grandchildren, Alex Schmidt, Connor and Nicholas Scott, Cooper Sandow, 2 sisters, June Mitchell of Fayetteville, NY, Betty Ann (Robert) Minemier of Dansville, 3 sister in laws Barb Mitchell of Dansville, Gertrude Meyer of Groveland, and Mary Spencer of Livonia. She was born February 9, 1924 in Dansville, NY the daughter of Marshall and Joyce Kenney Mitchell. Mrs. Adamson was employed by, Sanders Newspapers in Geneseo, Genesee County Express in Dansville, and the Groveland School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Golden Agers, Sparta First Presbyterian Church in Groveland, a Cub Scout leader, avid cake baker, community leader, great mother and friend to all. Visitation will be held at Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11 AM at Rector-Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
