Obituary of Iona M. Hennessey

Iona M. Hennessey, 92, of Davis Rd. in Geneseo, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. Mrs. Hennessey had previously resided on Jacqueline Way in Geneseo, and Rochester, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Hugh) Magee of Geneseo, daughter in law, Phyllis Hennessey of West Brighton, grandchildren, Mark (Sulyn) Hennessey of Fairport, Scott Hennessey of Gates, Bonnie (Todd) Thompson of Hunt, Colleen (Brian) Andress of Dalton, Amy (Brian) Eaton of Livonia, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 brothers, James Madison of Henrietta, Arthur Madison of York, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward B. Hennessey, her son Edward T. Hennessey, her grandson Hugh Magee, and her granddaughter Kimberly Hennessey. Iona was born June 5, 1918 in Rochester, NY the daughter of James Edward and Carolina Hubble Madison. She was a graduate of the Rochester Bussiness Institute and was retired from the Rochester School District where she was a Sr. Bookkeeper. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 9-10:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
